剧情简介：

       京剧《浮士德》取材于德国著名文学家歌德的同名巨著《浮士德》，根据原著第一部分进行改编。

       该剧讲述了魔鬼魔非和上帝打了一个赌，以浮士德作为赌注。身为博士的浮士德虽饱读诗书、学富五车，却因感自身年迈，生命无趣而企图自杀，魔非趁机引诱他签下契约，在以他灵魂作抵押的前提下，让他重历人生，满足欲望。

       浮士德喝下魔药，重返青春，在偶遇少女格蕾卿后，便对其展开了热烈的追求。浮士德不断膨胀的欲望和贪婪造成了格雷卿的悲剧。在格雷卿因精神错乱溺死亲生孩子后，被判死刑，浮士德顿感无限沉痛与怅然，对人生发出了悲叹……

Synopsis:

This Peking Opera draws its material from the masterpiece of the same name by famous German literati 

Goethe and adapted according the first volume of the original version.

The plot is about the monster mephisto makes a bet with God on Faust, the main character. Although 

Faust is quite knowledgeable and literate, he tries to commit suicide because of feeling old and dull. 

Mephisto seizes the opportunity and tempts Faust to sign a contract with him: mortgage his soul for 

being young again and meeting his desires. After drinking the poison and being back to his youth 

again, Faust does his utmost to chase Gretchen, a beautiful lady he once encountered with. However, 

his insatiable desire and greed lead to Gretchen’s tragic. He feels endless sorrowful and frustrated 

after Gretchen drowns her baby schizophrenically and sentenced to death. He laments mournfully to 

his life…
